HC Deb 18 February 1975 vol 886 c1120
Mr. Speaker

The hon. Member for Sutton and Cheam (Mr. Macfarlane) yesterday raised a point about the Hansard record of the Adjournment debate on 5th November last.

These differences of recollection are not easy, particularly when the occasion is over three months ago.

I have considered carefully what the hon. Member said. I also heard the Minister tell the House what he meant to say, and what he thinks that he did say in the relevant part of his speech.

I have consulted the Editor of the Official Report. The reporter's notes confirm what is printed in Hansard. No corrections of any sort were made to that passage in the Minister's speech.

In these circumstances I cannot order any alteration.
