Mr. Secretary Shore, supported by Mr. Secretary Callaghan, Mrs. Secretary Williams, Mr. Secretary Ross, Mr. Secretary John Morris, Dr. John Gilbert, Mr. Eric Deakins, and Mr. S. Clinton Davis presented a Bill to make provision for establishing a fund from which payments may be made in certain cases in respect of losses or liabilities incurred by customers of air travel organisers in consequence of the inability of the air travel organisers to meet their financial commitments in respect of certain descriptions of travel contracts, and for establishing an agency to hold, manage and apply the fund; to provide for requiring contributions from air travel organisers for the purposes of the fund; to provide for loans to the agency by the Secretary of State; and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid: And the same was read the First time; and ordered to be read a Second time tomorrow and to be printed.
