HC Deb 10 December 1975 vol 902 cc455-6
40. Mr. David Steel

asked the Lord Advocate what representations he has received about the reform of the divorce laws in Scotland.

The Lord Advocate

Since I last answered a Question on this matter on 22nd October, I have received several representations from members of the public.

Mr. Steel

Will the Government undertake to give all possible support, including the necessary time for a Private Member's Bill, which I understand may be introduced this Session?

The Lord Advocate

I understand that the hon. Member for Argyll (Mr. MacCormick) has made a statement on this topic. Should he make a request in the appropriate form to me or to any other Minister, the request will be considered on its merits.
