I beg to move Amendment No. 171, in page 71, line 9, after 'employer', insert 'or a person or body representing workers'.

This matter was raised in Committee at our twenty-fourth sitting, when the Under-Secretary of State undertook to consider it. His undertaking led us to believe that it was unlikely that he would propose any change in the Bill, but to get the matter on the record, we have tabled the amendment.

If the hon. Gentleman looks at Government Amendment No. 170 he will find that it substantially meets the point which he sought to make in Amendment No. 171.

I am grateful to the hon. Gentleman. I did not appreciate the inter-relation between the two amendments. In the circumstances, I beg to ask leave to withdraw the amendment.
