HC Deb 07 April 1975 vol 889 c972
The Lord Advocate

I beg to move Amendment No. 13, in page 54, line 19, leave out "Glasgow" and insert "Strathclyde".

The Chairman

I suggest that it will be for the convenience of the Committee to consider at the same time Amendment No. 14, together with Amendments Nos. 37 and 38 to Clause 358, all to the same effect.

These four amendments are consequential on the coming into operation of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, when, as from 16th May 1975, the duties of the Chief Constable of Glasgow fall to be exercised by the Chief Constable of Strathclyde.
