HC Deb 28 June 1974 vol 875 cc1981-2

Amendment made: No. 30, in page 10, line 15, after 'Britain', insert: 'or a record kept, in Great Britain or elsewhere, for the purposes of any of Her Majesty's forces, being in either case a record'.—[Mr. Alexander W. Lyon.]

Mr. Robert Hughes

I beg to move Amendment No. 31, in page 10, line 31, after 'defendant', insert: '(or, in Scotland, the accused person)'. The amendment is required to take account of differences of expression between Scotland and England and Wales. The words "accused person" are substituted in Scotland for "defendant" in England and Wales.

This is a drafting amendment, and no point of substance is involved.

Amendment agreed to.
