HC Deb 28 June 1974 vol 875 c1978

Amendment made: No. 25, in page 7, line 1, leave out Clause 5.—[Mr. Alexander W. Lyon.]

Mr. Deputy-Speaker

We now come to Amendment No. 24

Mr. Stanbrook

Mr. Deputy-Speaker, Amendment No. 24 was tabled by me and certain of my hon. Friends to amend the Bill as it emerged from Standing Committee. Subsequently, as a result of a Government amendment, the clause concerned has been deleted completely, so the effect of Amendment No. 24 is lost. If I need formally to ask for leave to withdraw the amendment, then I do so.

Mr. Deputy-Speaker

I am obliged to the hon. Gentleman.
