§ Mr. RowlandsI beg to move Amendment No. 60, in page 89, line 28, after 'dwelling' insert
'within the meaning of the Rent Act 1968'.In the clause an "occupying tenant" for the purposes of Part VII of the Bill is defined as being, among other things,a statutory tenant of the dwelling".The amendment is designed to make it clear that the expression "statutory tenant" in the clause means a statutory tenant as referred to in Section 3 of and Schedule 1 to the Rent Act 1968.
