Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to amend the Ministerial and Other Salaries Act 1972, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any sums to be so paid in pursuance of—

  1. (a) provisions increasing or regulating (as to numbers or otherwise) the salaries payable to Ministers of the Crown, or
  2. (b) provisions about the expenses of Ministers, including salaries or remuneration of members of their departments.—[Mr. Robert Sheldon.]
