§ Mr. CormackOn a point of order, Mr. Speaker. I ask for your guidance on a matter that concerns the whole House. Today the Finer Report on one-parent families has been published after about four years. I am not complaining that there has not been a statement from the Government, although some of my colleagues expected one, but the report itself is not available in the Vote Office. I understand from the Vote Office staff that, although we have the second volume, the first volume, which contains the substance of the report, is 220 unlikely to be here today. A Press conference is being given on the report at this very moment.
This matter highlights the difficulty under which the House has been labouring for some time with regard to printing. I ask you to give this matter some consideration, Mr. Speaker, with a view possibly to preventing a similar occurence. I suggest that when a report of this importance to all hon. Members is published the House should be given notice first.
§ Mr. SpeakerAs I was not informed about this matter earlier I have not had time to go into it. I shall certainly consider it.
