§ Mr. SpeedIt will be for local authorities to apply the cuts as they see fit to projects for which they are responsible. My right hon. Friend the Minister for Transport Industries will make a statement about the roads programme as soon as possible.
§ Mr. GoldingIs the Minister aware that a roundabout on the A34 at the Parkhouse Colliery site is absolutely essential if we are to have much-needed industrial development? Will he tell the Government that the inner ring road in Newcastle-under-Lyme is also of great importance to the town?
