HC Deb 08 April 1974 vol 872 c120
Mr. F. P. Crowder (Ruislip, Northwood)

I beg leave to ask to present a petition on behalf of 2,071 of my constituents. It reads: To the Honourable the Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Parliament assembled. The Humble Petition of the residents of Northwood in the County of Middlesex Sheweth that the large number of Compulsory Purchase Orders which have been served or which are threatened on people who live in Northwood have caused great distress and very strong feeling locally because of the real fear of losing their homes; these Compulsory Purchase Orders if confirmed and implemented would destroy the environment and the whole character of the district. Wherefore your Petitioners pray that these Compulsory Purchase Orders and the advice of the Inspector appointed by the Minister be considered long and carefully before being confirmed And your Petitioners, as in duty bound. will ever pray.

To lie upon the Table.
