Mr. Piers Dixon, supported by Mr. Kenneth Marks, Sir Edward Brown, Mr. Paul B. Rose, Mr. Mark Carlisle, Dr. Edmund Marshall, Mr. Edward Gardner, Mr. David Watkins, Mr. Michael Shersby, and Mr. David Weitzman, presented a Bill to rehabilitate offenders who have not been reconvicted of any serious offence for periods of years, to penalise the unauthorised disclosure of their previous convictions, to amend the law of defamation, and for purposes connected therewith: And the same was read the First time; and ordered to be read a Second time upon Friday 3rd May and to be printed.
