HC Deb 31 October 1973 vol 863 c179

[SECOND DAY]

Order read for resuming adjourned debate on Question [30th October].

That an humble Address be presented to Her Majesty, as follows: Most Gracious Sovereign, We, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, in Parliament assembled, beg leave to offer our humble thanks to Your Majesty for the Gracious Speech which Your Majesty has addressed to both Houses of Parliament.—[Mr. Proudfoot.]

Question again proposed.

Mr. Speaker

Before I call the first speaker, it might help the House if I indicate what has been suggested to me as the pattern of the debate.

Today the main speeches will relate to foreign affairs; on Thursday to the social problems of the cities; on Friday to discrimination and employment; on Monday to the economic situation; and on Tuesday to housing and land.
