Mr. Secretary Carr, supported by Secretary Sir Keith Joseph, Mrs. Secretary Thatcher, Mr. Secretary Campbell, Sir John Eden, Mr. Mark Carlisle, and Mr. Attorney-General, presented a Bill to amend the Cinematograph Acts 1909 and 1952 and, so far is it relates to things done in the course of a cinematograph exhibition, section 1 of the Obscene Publications Act 1959; to make fresh provision with respect to the display, advertisement or distribution of indecent matter and to the use of machines for the viewing of indecent pictures; and for purposes connected with those matters: And the same was read the First time; and ordered to be read a Second time tomorrow and to be printed.
