Queen's Recommendation having been signified—
§
Resolved,
That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make provision for payments to pensioners, it is expedient to authorize—
- (1) the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of—
- (a) any sums payable by the Secretary of State under the provisions of that Act relating to pensioners, other than sums falling to be paid out of the National Insurance Fund or the Industrial Injuries Fund, but not exceeding the following amount in the case of any person, that is to say, £10 together with a further sum of £10 in respect of any spouse of that person;
- (b) the administrative costs incurred by a Minister of the Crown or any Government department under those provisions;
- (c) any increase in the sums so payable by way of Exchequer supplement under section 7 of the National Insurance Act 1965 resulting from provisions of the said Act of the present Session increasing weekly rates of contributions under the said Act of 1965;
- (2) the payment into the Consolidated Fund of so much of any administrative costs mentioned in paragraph (1)(b) above as relates to payments made to pensioners out of the National Insurance Fund or the Industrial Injuries Fund.—[Mr. Hawkins.]
