§ Mr. SpeakerOrder. The hon. Gentleman must ask a question.
§ Mr. SkinnerDoes not the Prime Minister realise that he has a public duty —[Interruption.].
§ Mr. SpeakerOrder. Will the hon. Member ask a question?
§ Mr. Skinner"Does not the Prime Minister realise?" is a question.
§ Mr. SpeakerOrder. Sometimes when there is a great deal of noise it is not easy for the Chair to hear. The hon. Member is trying to put a question—let him put the question.
§ Mr. SkinnerYou are very sensible, Mr. Speaker.
§ Mr. SpeakerThat may be a statement of the obvious, but it is not a question.
§ Mr. SkinnerDoes not the Prime Minister realise that he has a public duty to trot along to the Lord Mayor's office in Blackpool and apologise for all the blood on the Winter Gardens floor?
§ The Prime MinisterI paid an official visit to the Mayor of Blackpool on Tuesday, dined with him in the evening, attended his reception on Wednesday and dined with him on Friday. I do not think that it is necessary for me to do any more in that respect, and it is certainly unnecessary to call him the Lord Mayor.
