29C.—In determining the amount of compensation or purchase money payable to any person in respect of his interest in land acquired under this Act in a case where—

  1. (a) he has an interest in any other land contiguous with or adjacent to the land so acquired ; and
  2. (b) the value of his interest in any such contiguous or adjacent land is enhanced by reason of the execution of any works authorised by this Act or any of them ;

the amount of the enhancement in value shall be set off against the compensation of purchase money : Provided that any such enhancement in value of an interest in land shall be estimated on the assumption that planning permission in respect of that land would be granted under the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1972 for the operations or uses specified in Schedule 6 to that Act but not for any other development.—[Mr. Grimond.]
