Mr. Kenneth Marks, supported by Sir John Foster, Mr. Edmund Dell, Mr. Alexander Lyon, Sir John Rodgers, Mr. Peter Archer, Mr. Charles Fletcher-Cooke, Mr. Ian Percival, Mr. Gordon Oakes, Mr. William Hamling, and Mr. Edward du Cann, presented a Bill to facilitate the rehabilitation of offenders who have not been reconvicted of any serious offence for periods of years, to penalise the unauthorised disclosure of their previous convictions, to amend the law of defamation ; and for purposes connected therewith : And the same was read the First time ; and ordered to be read a Second time upon Friday 25th January and to be printed.
