HC Deb 27 March 1973 vol 853 c1086
20. Mr. Michael Shaw

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what steps he is taking to bring the new occupational classification system CODOT to the attention of employers.

Mr. Chichester-Clark

Every available opportunity is being taken to publicise CODOT, in addition to publicity through the usual media, particularly the Press and specialist journals. My Department's officers have also contacted a wider selection of employers personally or by mail.

Mr. Shaw

I am grateful to my hon. Friend for that information, but is it not true that more publicity could still be given to this scheme which, although small, is eminently worth while?

Mr. Chichester-Clark

I entirely agree with my hon. Friend, and for that reason I am grateful to him for his Question, which I am sure will help to publicise the project. He may be interested to know that his own classification under CODOT is 001.
