§ Order read for consideration of Lords Amendments.
§ 11.5 a.m.
§ Mr. Jerry Wiggin (Weston-superMare)On a point of order, Mr. Speaker. It might be helpful if, before we proceed with this large number of Lords Amendments, I were to explain the reason for them. When the Bill left this House it had not received the full attentions of the Parliamentary draftsmen. That having happened, a large number of these amendments are of a purely drafting nature. I thought that I ought to apologise and to make this explanation to the House before we proceed.
§ Mr. SpeakerI am sure that the House is obliged to the hon. Member.
§ Lords Amendments considered.
