Queen's Recommendation having been signified

Resolved. That for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to establish a Price Commission and a Pay Board, to authorise the formulation of the principles to be applied by those bodies, to afford powers of control over prices, pay, dividends and rents, to provide for the furnishing of information about rates and for connected purposes, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of—

  1. (a) the expenses of the Price Commission and the Pay Board,

Bill committed to a Standing Committee pursuant to Standing Order No. 40 (Committal of Bills).

  1. (b) any expenses incurred by the Secretary of State in making payments by way of remuneration, allowances or other benefits to, or in respect of, members of the Price Commission and the Pay Board,
  2. (c) any administrative expenses incurred by a Government Department in consequence of the provisions of the said Act,
  3. (d) any increase attributable to the said Act in the sums payable out of money provided by Parliament under any other Act, and
  4. (e) any sums pay able by the Secretary of State into the Exchequer of Northern Ireland as representing the expenses incurred by the Ministry of Commerce for Northern Ireland under the said Act of this Session.—[Mr. Patrick Jenkin.]
