HC Deb 24 October 1972 vol 843 cc1010-1

Lords Amendment: No. 109, in page 257, line 2, leave out from "the" to the end of line 4 and insert: last of the orders which he proposes to make under paragraph 7 above with respect to the communities in that district.

Mr. Gibson-Watt

I beg to move, That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Amendment.

This again is a consequential Amendment to paragraph 11 of Schedule 10 made necessary by an Amendment to paragraph 7 which was accepted on Report.

It makes clear the definition of the completion of the special community review in Wales, and has the effect that the Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales will not start to review the electoral arrangements for a district under paragraph 10 of Schedule 10 until the Secretary of State has made a decision on the last part of the special community review for that district.

Question put and agreed to.

Subsequent Lords Amendment agreed to.
