Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to provide for the holding in Northern Ireland of a poll with respect to the border, it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (i) the payment out of the Consolidated Fund, or out of money provided by Parliament, of any costs incurred pursuant to the said Act in connection with the poll, including any increase attributable to the said Act in the sums so payable under any other Act,
  2. (ii) any payment in the Consolidated Fund.—[Mr. John Stradling Thomas.]
