Mr. Dalyellasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a study, in the light of Dr. David Train's lecture to the Pharmaceutical Society Conference at Keele on 4th September, a copy of which is in his possession, of the problem of the disposal down sinks and lavatories of man-made substances such as paint stripper and brush-cleaning fluids; and whether it is possible to take any useful action.
§ Mr. EyreMy right hon. Friend has directed the Department's informal working group on awkward household wastes to consider the problem of disposal of these substances after domestic use.
