HC Deb 22 May 1972 vol 837 c982
19. Mr. Elystan Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he is satisfied with the standard of paediatric services provided in mid-Wales at present: and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Gibson-Watt

The Welsh Hospital Board is taking steps to improve the paediatric services in mid-Wales by appointing a second consultant paediatrician based at Carmarthen.

Mr. Morgan

Is the Minister aware that that announcement will be very welcome in Wales? It follows the recommendation made by Professor Gray in his report last month. I thank the Minister most warmly.
