§ Mrs. Kellett-Bowman
With your leave, Mr. Speaker, I wish to present the humble Petition of Mrs. Maureen Richardson, widow of Chief-Superintendent Gerald Richardson, and the Citizens Protection Society, and signed by over a quarter of a million persons.
The Petition sheweth
That violent crime has increased in this country.
Wherefore your Petitioners pray that capital punishment should be restored for premeditated murder.
And your Petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.
To lie upon the Table.
