Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make new provision for the prevention of diseases suffered or disseminated by animals and to amend the Diseases of Animals Act 1950; to amend the law relating to slaughterhouses, to the slaughter of animals in Scotland and to the improvement of livestock; to amend Part II of the Agriculture Act 1967; to make new provision in relation to the Agricultural Marketing Fund and the Agricultural Marketing (Scotland) Fund; to increase the amount which may be advanced under section 2 of the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation Act 1956; and to confer powers on the Secretary of State in relation to certain parks and other land in Scotland, it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (1) the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any expenses of any Minister under any provision of the said Act of the present Session and any increase attributable to any provision of that Act in the sums payable out of moneys so provided under any other Act;
  2. (2) the payment out of the Consolidated Fund of any increase in the sums payable out of that fund under subsection (2) of section 2 of the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation Act 1956 which is attributable to provisions of the said Act of the present Session increasing the advances which may be made under subsection (1) of that section:
  3. (3) any payment into the Consolidated Fund by virtue of any provision of the said Act of the present Session, and any increase attributable to any such provision in the sums payable into that Fund under any other Act.—[Mr. Patrick Jenkin.]
