Ordered, That a Select Committee be appointed to consider the Procedure in the Public Business of the House; and to report what alterations, if any, are desirable for the more efficient despatch of such Business. And the Committee was nominated of Mr. Austen Albu, Mr. Simon Wingfield Digby, Mr. Michael Hamilton, Mr. John Loveridge, Mr. John P. Mackintosh, Mr. David Marquand, Mr. Angus Maude, Mr. John Parker, Sir Robin Turton, and Dame Irene Ward.

Ordered, That the Committee have power to send for persons, papers and records; and to report from time to time.

Ordered, That Four be the Quorum of the Committee.

Ordered, That the Minutes of the Evidence taken before the Select Committee on Procedure and reported by them to the House on 26th October, in the last Session of Parliament, be referred to the Committee.—[Mr. John Stradling Thomas.]
