HC Deb 12 December 1972 vol 848 c205
Mr. Evelyn King

With your permission Mr. Speaker, and that of the House, I beg to present a Petition. Out of the 67,000 electors in South Dorset it is signed by 35. The Petitioners urge that the entry of the United Kingdom into the European Economic Community be delayed pending a referendum or General Election.

I beg the House to note that I do not accept this view. However, I believe that the view of any minority of my constituents, however small, should be heard.

The Petition concludes: And your Petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.

To lie upon the Table.
