Queen's Recommendation having been signified

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session providing for further financial support in connection with the production in the United Kingdom of the Concorde aircraft, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any increase in the expenses of the Secretary of State under section 8 of the Industrial Expansion Act 1968 attributable to—

  1. (a) raising to £250 million the limit on the amount by way of loans and guarantees provided by the Secretary of State under that section which may at any time be outstanding,
  2. (b) providing for that limit to be raised by order to £350 million, and
  3. (c) removing the requirement that any such loans shall be repayable, and guarantees expire, not later than 30th June 1979.—[Mr. Onslow.]
