HC Deb 02 August 1972 vol 842 c560
Mr. Rost

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker. May I draw your attention to the fact that despite your efforts to speed up Scottish Question Time—[HON. MEMBERS: "Oh."]—we have not managed to reach Question No. 35 to the Lord President of the Council? Should not this be looked into in the interests of all hon. Members?

Mr. Speaker

I hope that that fact will be noted by those responsible in these matters.

I have a statement—

Mr. Ross

Further to that point of order, Mr. Speaker. I would point out for the benefit of the hon. Member for Derbyshire, South-East (Mr. Rost) that we lost eight minutes of Question Time because of two petitions presented by English Members.

Mr. Speaker

That introduces the possibility of injury time.
