HC Deb 01 August 1972 vol 842 cc348-9
Q7. Mr. Skinner

asked the Prime Minister if he will pay an official visit to Selsdon.

The Prime Minister

I have at present no plans to do so.

Mr. Skinner

Is the Prime Minister aware that when he went to Selsdon on that last celebrated occasion he and his pals were devising the General Election strategy? Does he not realise that the country is ready for him to take another trip there? Will he take with him Lord Vestey and ask him to explain how he can sack dockers down the street, reemploy USDAW people up the street and supposedly make a loss if he employed those same dockers at the same rate?

The Prime Minister

What requires to be explained is why dockers should be allowed to put USDAW workers out of their jobs.
