Mr. Secretary Maudling, supported by Mr. Maurice Macmillan, Mr. Mark Carlisle, and Mr. Eldon Griffiths, presented a Bill to extend the corporate powers of the Horserace Totalisator Board; to remove the limit on the number of members of that Board; to make provision with respect to applications by that Board for betting office licences; to transfer the functions of that Board with respect to the approval of horse race courses to the Horserace Betting Levy Board; to enable the latter Board to give financial assistance to the Horserace Totalisator Board; to facilitate the exercise of the functions of the government appointed members of the Horserace Betting Levy Board; and for purposes connected with those matters, and the same was read the first time; and ordered to be read a second time upon Monday next and to be printed.
