§ The scale rates for supplementary benefits are to be increased from £8.50 to £9.45 for a married couple and from £5.20 to £5.80 for a person living alone. Children's rates will go up pro rata and, with the agreement of the Supplementary Benefits Commission, there will be selective additional increases for those aged from 13 to 20.
