§ 9. Mr. Geoffrey Finsbergasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will issue a circular to local authorities urging greater use to be made, as short-term housing accommodation, of houses standing empty pending redevelopment.

I recently reinforced the point in a speech which I made on 12th February, 1971. to the London housing managers. I will send a copy of the circular and of my speech to my hon. Friend.
