§ 30. Mr. McElhoneasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT the appointments to boards, councils, committees, etc., under his jurisdiction.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellThe full information is not at present easily available in a comprehensive form. If the hon. Member has some particular point in mind, I will be happy to try to assist him.
§ Mr. McElhoneWould the Secretary of State give an assurance that when he makes reappointments he will appoint a disabled person to the Social Advisory Committee and any other committees concerned with chronically sick and disabled persons?
§ Mr. CampbellAs I think the hon. Gentleman knows, this is a matter with which I am particularly concerned. The answer is "Yes". The question of the degree of disability must, of course, be 1409 considered in relation to requirements and the nature of the job.
