asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will now publish the report on Pinnock Finance Company.

We have decided to publish the Inspectors' Report as soon as possible.

I am grateful to you, Mr. Speaker, and to the Under-Secretary of State for this Answer. Can the hon. Gentleman tell me when publication may be expected?

Mr. Grant

Fairly soon. I would not like to commit myself to a precise date but we have obtained the consent of the liquidator and publication will be soon.

How many people affected by the company are going to be paid out?

Mr. Grant

I cannot give that number without notice but, following the court action on 17th February, the liquidator obtained sanction to pay an interim dividend of 2–5p in the £ to unsecured creditors.
