HC Deb 10 March 1971 vol 813 c500
Mr. Graham Page

I beg to move Amendment No. 68, in page 55, line 36, leave out 'entering' and insert: 'or after entering on that land'. As drafted, subsection (1) of Clause 58 requires a person carrying out a survey to produce his authority to enter on to land if he is requested to do so before he enters on that land. If he manages to enter on to the land without producing his authority and is then discovered on the land by the landowner or occupier of the land, there is no provision in the Bill that he should be obliged to produce his authority there and then. Amendment No. 68 puts that right. It gives a power to require him to produce his authority when he has already entered on to the land.

Amendment agreed to.
