HC Deb 08 March 1971 vol 813 c23
22. Mr. Fletcher-Cooke

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he has considered the report of the inspectors appointed to investigate the affairs of Inter-Continental Pharmaceuticals (Bletchley) Limited.

Mr. Ridley

The report has been considered, but I have concluded that it is not of sufficient public importance to justify publication.

Mr. Fletcher-Cooke

Is my hon. Friend aware that his predecessor in office—Mrs. Dunwoody—gave me exactly the same answer eleven months ago—that the report was being considered and that action would be taken speedily? What has happened in the last eleven months?

Mr. Ridley

The creditors will in due course receive knowledge of the financial state of this company from the Official Receiver, who is the liquidator. We have concluded that there are no matters of public interest arising from his report and it would not, therefore, be worth the cost of public funds to publish it.
