HC Deb 28 June 1971 vol 820 c1

Order for Third Reading read.

Mr. English

Before I say what I am about to say, Mr. Speaker, I should like to point out that if the promoters of the Bill were prepared to circulate to appropriate hon. Members and the Liverpool City Council the text of Amendments which I believe they may have prepared regarding the continued future operation of the port, opposition to the Bill might cease or be greatly reduced. Meanwhile, I object.

Bill to be read the Third time upon Thursday next at Seven o'clock.
