§ Mr. RankinDoes the hon. Gentleman realise how keenly Glasgow business men want direct services with their trading points in Western Europe? Surely that important demand is not to be settled merely by the existing air services, because there is now a third group of people who are ready to provide services of this nature?
§ Mr. GrantI understand the hon. Gentleman's point of view; but this Government, like our predecessors, regard the rôles of Glasgow and Prestwick Airports as complementary. The major function of Glasgow Airport is to cater for short and medium-haul traffic.
