Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That for the purpose of any Act of the present Session to make provision for or in conection with the acquisition for the benefit of the Crown of any part of the undertaking and assets of Rolls-Royce Limited or its subsidiaries, and the carrying on of any undertaking so acquired, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any expenditure which may be incurred by a Minister of the Crown—

  1. (a) with a view to or in connection with any such acquisition; or
  2. (b) with a view to or in connection with the carrying on of any undertaking acquired in pursuance of the Act,
including expenditure in subscribing for shares in or securities of, or making loans to, any company so acquiring any undertaking or assets.—[Mr. David Price.]
