§ The Under-Secretary of State for Development, Scottish Office (Mr. George Younger)The Scottish Office has no formal relationship with the Scottish Business School. On the occasion of the formal launching of the school on 13th January my right hon. Friend sent a message welcoming its establishment and expressing his good wishes.
§ Mr. DouglasWill the hon. Gentleman recognise that it is very important that this new venture in Scottish education should get off to a good start? Therefore, will he persuade his right hon. Friend to raise at an early opportunity the possibility of a conference organised by the Scottish Business School and the Regional Economic Planning Council, so as to draw to the attention of the business community in Scotland the advantages of this new institution?
§ Mr. YoungerI thank the hon. Gentleman for his good wishes, too, for the prosperity of this school. My right hon. Friend and I will certainly consider his suggestion.
