Increases in war widows' pensions of at least £1.30 a week will be paid to about 100,000 war widow pensioners this September.

I thank my hon. Friend for that reply. As there is a war memorial village in my constituency, I have more than the average number of widows in this category who will be particularly grateful for this assistance.

I am obliged to my hon. Friend. I am sure that she is aware that we are also introducing two new improved aspects of benefits for war widows in September.
