HC Deb 29 April 1971 vol 816 c720
The Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. Reginald Maudling)

With permission, Mr. Speaker, I should like to make a short statement, following the passage by both Houses of Parliament of Resolutions to set up a Tribunal to inquire into certain matters related to the Vehicle and General Insurance Company.

I have now appointed the Tribunal and I am informing the House of its composition at the earliest opportunity.

The House will be glad to know that Mr. Justice James has consented to act as Chairman, and that Mr. Michael Kerr, Q.C., and Mr. Sydney Templeman, Q.C., have consented to serve as members of the Tribunal.
