§ 32. Mr. Gowerasked the Secretary of State for Wales what plans he has for sustaining and extending the heart surgery and treatment carried out at Sully Hospital, Glamorgan.
§ Mr. Gibson-WattThe Welsh Hospital Board is considering the question of improving facilities for the heart surgery and treatment at present carried out at Sully Hospital, Glamorgan.
§ Mr. GowerWhile thanking my hon. Friend for that reply, may I ask him to take into account the fact that there is some anxiety in Sully because there is a disposition on the part of some associated with the hospital board to restrict this work? Would he take account of the fact that heart patients are often in hospital for a long time and that it is better that they should be in the pleasant surroundings of a place like Sully?
§ Mr. Gibson-WattI appreciate the anxiety of my hon. Friend. What he has said will be borne in mind.
