Ordered, That a Select Committee be appointed to consider the Procedure in the Public Business of the House; and to report what alterations, if any, are desirable for the more efficient despatch of such Business:

Ordered, That Mr. Austen Albu, Mr. Simon Wingfield Digby, Mr. Michael Hamilton, Mr. J. E. B. Hill, Mr. John P. Mackintosh, Mr. David Marquand, Mr. Angus Maude, Mr. John Parker, Mr. Turton, and Dame Irene Ward be Members of the Committee:

Ordered, That so much of the Minutes of the Evidence taken before the Select Committee on Procedure in the last Session of the last Parliament as relates to Scrutiny of Taxation, together with the relevant Appendices, be referred to the Committee:
