Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make provision, as respects England and Wales, for discontinuing the classification of handicapped children as unsuitable for education at school, and for purposes connected therewith, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament—

  1. (1) of any expenses incurred by a Secretary of State under regulations providing for payment of compensation to persons whose employment is affected by the operation of the Act; and
  2. (2) of any increase attributable to the Act in the sums payable by way of rate support grant.—[Mr. Monro.]
