HC Deb 20 January 1970 vol 794 c244
25. Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will now make a statement about the charges which he proposes to make in the taxation treatment of occupational pension schemes consequential upon the introduction of National Superannuation.

Mr. Taverne

My right hon. Friend will make a statement as soon as he is in a position to do so.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

Can the hon. and learned Gentleman at least tell us whether it is the Government's policy to make the taxation position of these schemes better or worse?

Mr. Taverne

The right hon. Gentleman should await the statement.
